Catching up

Sorry, it's been a long time since I updated. The last few months have been pretty eventful. There have been some deaths in both our families which have been very hard to bare. Late last year, my dad's only sister passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly. Iron's stepdad's mom and dad passed away a few short months apart at the end and start of this year. It is more expected when people reach a certain age. It wasn't expected when we discovered Iron's real father had a heart attack and died in March at the age of 54. It was very hard to bare, because he had just gotten to know him in the year 2000. They had never had a relationship and I just can't get over how forgiving Iron is. He isn't one to hold grudges and made a great effort to have a friendship with the father and the new family. They did have a friendship for the past few years but it's tough when you see how some people just don't get the big picture. It's very hard when you feel things are a little unresolved. Now, Iron's mom has gone back to Hungary as one of her sisters has liver cancer and has been given a few months to live. Gosh it is difficult.
I went to Montreal and NY at the end of March and will write about them both in the next entry. I will say I fell in love with Montreal! NY was fabulous too. Now I'm just financially recovering, which is a wee bit more difficult than I anticipated. I need to pay off my credit card (there's not a whole lot on it, but I would love to have more chunks of money to be able to put on it) and get myself saving for a car. Hoping I can get one by the summer. I have a massage and manicure voucher my friend gave me for my birthday that I want to cash in, and I am excited. I am continually stressed out. Can't wait!
